TWIG Day Camp

TWIG Staff

TWIG Staff

TWIG’s Co-Directors, Victor Cooper and Leslie Jenner, have brought their warmth and enthusiasm
to TWIG for many years. Victor Cooper is celebrating his 22nd summer with TWIG this year, while Leslie is now in her 7th year at TWIG, after 18 years of camp experience at Adventures in Learning. She will be entering her 26th year at Greeley School in the fall. Mr. Cooper has years of day and overnight camp experience and is a Kinetic Wellness teacher and coach for the Winnetka Public Schools.

Our City Coordinator, Anissa Wilson, has been with TWIG for five years and will be entering her junior year in college, majoring in law enforcement. We are very happy that she comes home every summer and brings her experience to TWIG and our city campers, as they ride the bus back and forth from camp.

Our wonderful counselors are high school and college students from both the city and the suburbs. Many were TWIG campers and many have been with us for several years. They come to us with many areas of interest--sports, science, music, dance, etc. They are all dedicated to making sure that your child's TWIG summer experience is fantastic!

APPLY TO BE A COUNSELOR OR COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING
TWIG looks for enthusiastic and energetic counselors who enjoy being with children, and who know how to plan ahead for each week's activities.  Our application and interview process is a little tough, but that's because we want only the best counselors out there.

Counselors are paid positions, and applicants must be 16 to apply.  CITs are Counselors-In-Training and are not paid staff.  They get involved for the unique experience that only TWIG can provide, and must be at least 14.
